The Pathology Department diagnoses the structural and functional changes in tissues and organs of the body which cause or are caused by disease. The Pathology Department aids physicians and patients by evaluating tissue biopsies, specimens and laboratory data.

Dermatopathology, a subspecialty of surgical pathology, focuses on the histopathologic diagnosis of skin diseases. Cases include common inflammatory skin reactions, pediatric skin conditions including genodermatoses, infectious diseases, as well as melanomas and other neoplasms of the skin and mucous membranes.
