The Nephrology Department offers a diagnostic work-up for adults with acute or chronic renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, diabetic nephrology, glomerular and interstitial nephritis, electrolyte and acid-base disturbances and hypertension. Additionally, Nephrology provides all modalities of treatment for end stage renal disease including home and in-center hemodialysis, outpatient peritoneal dialysis, and association with a renal transplant program.

Hattiesburg Clinic's Nephrologists provide consultative review or assist with the care of patients with renal disease. Nephrology consultation is available in communities in which Hattiesburg Clinic Dialysis Units are located including Bay Springs, Collins, Columbia, Hattiesburg, Laurel, Pachuta, Picayune, Richton, Silver Creek, Tylertown, Waynesboro and Wiggins. 

Areas of interest include treating nutrition-related disorders, critical care and therapeutic plasmapheresis for disorders such as myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, myopathies, Goodpasture’s syndrome, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
