Internal Medicine physicians are to adults what pediatricians are to children. Internal Medicine provides comprehensive medical evaluations for all adults. Internal Medicine physicians coordinate the care of the patients on an outpatient basis at the clinic and on an inpatient basis at Forrest General Hospital and Wesley Medical Center. Internal Medicine physicians also treat the patient as a whole by helping patients understand the importance of wellness (disease prevention and the promotion of health). The physicians uniquely focus on adult medicine and are dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases that primarily affect adults. In addition, the staff includes a FAA approved examiner who can perform pre-flight medical examinations and work within the medical requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration. Internal Medicine Physicians are now able to offer same day appointments or the day of choice appointments to all patients.
