In 1996 Hattiesburg Clinic organized a golf tournament in honor of Lynn Cook Hartwig, Ph.D., for her commendable contributions to the field of health policy education in South Mississippi.

The funds raised through the tournament have allowed Hattiesburg Clinic to endow annual scholarships in the College of Health at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM). The success of the golf tournament has made it possible for Hattiesburg Clinic to enhance the scholarship program. In addition to the endowed scholarships at USM, as funds allow, the Clinic will also provide scholarships to Jones County Jr. College, Pearl River Community College and an additional scholarship to USM.
