| The Breast Center Recognized for Innovation and Patient Care | |

The Breast Center at Hattiesburg Clinic was recently recognized for its focus on innovation and patient care by Imaging Technology News, a publication that serves as a resource for medical imaging and radiation oncology professionals. The publication released its list of “Top Women’s Imaging Centers to Watch in 2010,” in which the five most advanced and forward-thinking imaging centers across the country were recognized. The top five included centers from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington and Georgia. The Breast Center headed up the top of honorable mentions list that also included centers from New Jersey and Florida. “Having The Breast Center mentioned for its innovation and patient service is an acknowledgement of the efforts that are put into the unique experience and comprehensive care we strive to provide for our patients,” Jennifer Walley, supervisor for The Breast Center, said. Designation by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, as well as the screening and diagnostic digital mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy-using vacuum-assisted technology, dedicated breast MRI and bone densitometry services were the designations that gave the center recognition in the innovation category. The center was recognized in the patient care category for its excellent service that is provided through private dressing rooms and lockers, women-only relaxation and waiting rooms, and personal service.
